Robin Megraw was born on August 9, 1950 in Liverpool, England. He emigrated to Canada with his family and settled in Oshawa, Ontario.
Robin played for First Portuguese in the National Soccer League in the 1975 and 1976 seasons.
In the 1977 season he played four games for Toronto Metros-Croatia in the North American Soccer League. He was a reserve player for the Metros-Croatia in the 1978 NASL season.
He played in one game in the North American Soccer League for the Toronto Blizzard in the 1979 season.
Robin later became a coach in local soccer in Oshawa. In 1991 he was elected to the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame.
