Olinto Rubini was born in São Paulo, Brazil on March 5, 1934. He first made his name with the Sao Bento club in Brazil. He then moved to Toronto to play for Roma in the 1961 National Soccer League season.
His goalscoring was an important part of Roma’s success on the field by winning the National Soccer League championship. Olinto ended the season having scored 20 league goals for Roma.
After playing in Canada Olinto moved to Mexico in 1961. In Mexico he played for Nacional for three years and then had one season with Oro. In 1964 Olinto joined Monterrey and stayed with that club until 1968.
