Iseo Fausto Rosello Zechini was born on February 4, 1933 in Montevideo, Uruguay. He started his career with Nacional in Montevideo.
In 1954 he joined Boca Juniors and helped the club win the 1954 Argentine Primera Division in his first season with the club. He left Boca Juniors after the 1957 season.

Then followed one-year spells with Lanus in the 1958 Primera Division and River Plate in the 1959 Primera Division.
The inside forward joined Montreal Concordia in May 1960. Concordia finished third in the final league standings in the 1960 National Soccer League season. Fausto scored one league goal during the season.
Fausto spent the winter of 1960-1961 playing for Galicia in the American Soccer League. The club finished in fifth place in the final league standings.
In May 1961 Fausto joined Montreal Cantalia in the Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League. He scored seven league goals during the 1961 ECPSL season. Cantalia won the 1961 President’s Cup, emblematic of winning the ECPSL playoff championship.
