In the 1929 season the Montreal Canadian National Railway soccer eleven won the Dominion Championship, the National League championship, the Charity Cup and the championship of the Eastern Section of the National Soccer League.
Montreal C.N.R. started the 1929 season by winning the delayed final games of the 1928 National Soccer League championship.
On July 31 they won the Dominion Championship by beating United Weston 5-0 in Winnipeg.
They clinched the 1929 Lord Atholstan Trophy by beating Ulster United 3-2 on October 26, 1929, in Toronto. The Nationals winning 4-2 on the round. The following day they played in an exhibition game against New York Hakoah All-Stars in Brooklyn and tied the U.S. Champions 1-1.
Bob Finlayson ended the season having scored 49 goals. Jack Green scored 13 goals during the 1929 season.
