They then moved on to Wrexham F.C. and made their debut for the Wrexham reserve team in a match in the Cheshire League. Their performances impressed first team manager Cliff Lloyd, and Harvey was given his full debut in a Third Division match against Reading on November 28, 1959. Wrexham won the match 2-1. Harvey played in 13 league games in the 1959-1960 season. Dennis spent the season playing for the reserve team in the Cheshire League. After the season the boys returned to Canada for the summer.
