Myron Bereza was born in Termopil, Ukraine, on August 24, 1936. He first made his mark in soccer as a junior player with the Seraing club in Belgium. He emigrated to Canada in 1951. He settled in Toronto and joined the Toronto Ukraina junior team.
In 1952 he graduated to the Toronto Ukraina senior team. Playing at outside left he was a vital part in helping Toronto Ukraina win the National Soccer League championship four times.

Myron was often picked for the Ontario All-Stars in the 1950’s. He also spent the winters playing in Rochester in the United States with the Ukrainian-American Soccer Club. In 1957 he helped that club reach the United States National Amateur Cup final.
The 5’7″ and 150 lbs left winger was picked for the Canadian National Team in the qualifiers for the 1958 World Cup. He played in four games for Canada in the qualifying games that were held in 1957.
After retiring from soccer in 1966, Myron became a soccer coach in Toronto. He passed away at the age of 76 on November 24, 2012 in Toronto, Canada.
