In May and June 1935 a picked team from the Scottish Football Association underwent a tour of North America. After two victories in Philadelphia and New York the Scottish team played their third game of the tour in Toronto.
On May 22 a crowd of 10,000 turned up at Soldier’s Field in Toronto to watch the Scottish stars take on a select team from Toronto.
Both teams scored a goal in the first half making the score at half-time 1-1.
The Scottish team scored two goals in the second half to secure a 3-1 victory.
The goalscorers for the Scottish F.A. team were Willie Miller with two goals and Hugh Gallagher.
Ulster United’s John Aiken got the goal for the Toronto All-Stars.
