2,250 soccer fans turned up at Windsor Stadium on Tuesday night May 20, 1986 to watch Windsor Wheels take on Argentinos Juniors.
In 1985 Argentinos Juniors, a club from Buenos Aires, won the Copa Libertadores. In 1986 they took their all-star team on a tour of Canada. On May 18 they beat Toronto Blizzard 7-2 at Varsity Stadium. Two days later they played against NSL club Windsor Wheels.
32 minutes into the game Emilio Commisso scored the only goal of the game to secure a 1-0 win for the Argentinian team.
Rob Agostini was voted as Wheels’ player of the game.
