Bio:
Bob was born in Newcastle, England. In the summer of 1954 Bob joined West Auckland from Northallerton.
He served in the Royal Air Force from 1955 until 1957. While playing for his local R.A.F. team Bob was scouted by several Football League clubs. These clubs included Preston North End and Sunderland.
He was released from the Royal Air Force in January 1958 and joined Northern League club Stanley United.
In October 1958 Bob joined Gateshead. He played in 26 league games in the 1958-1959 Football League Fourth Division.
In July 1960 Bob emigrated to Canada and signed for Toronto White Eagles. He made his debut for the White Eagles in a 0-0 tie on 26 July 1960 against Toronto Sparta at Stanley Park.
The Polish White Eagles finished the 1960 NSL season in eight place in the thirteen team league.
His brilliant play in goal helped Polish White Eagles finish in third place in the National Soccer League in the 1961 season.
Played for New York Ukrainia in the German-American League in the 1961-1962 season.
Returned to the National Soccer League club Ulster United before the start of the 1962 season. Joined Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League club Toronto Italia later in 1962.
Reserve goalkeeper for Toronto Italia in the 1964 Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League season. At the time Bob was working as a draftsman.
