Paul Graham Walker was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England on April 3, 1949. He started his career as an amateur with local team Bradford Park Avenue.

He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers’ nursery side at the age of 15 in 1965. He then progressed via the Wanderers’ junior side until signing a professional contract in October 1966.

The 5’9″ and 11 lbs 3 stones forward started in 16 league games and came on as a substitute in 9 games.

In July 1973 he joined Peterborough United. During his two seasons with Peterborough he played in 78 league games and scored three goals.

Paul joined Barnsley in July 1975. He played in 13 league games during the 1975-1976 season.

In the beginning of May 1976 he joined NSL club Ottawa Tigers. On Saturday night May 15 he made his debut for the Tigers against Buffalo Blazers.

The Tigers finished the 1976 season in fifth place in the final standings of the 1976 NSL Second Division season.
