On Sunday June 14, 1992 a picked team from the National Soccer League played against touring Italian club AC Milan.

A crowd of around 6,000 turned up at Little Stadium, Western Ontario University, to watch the exhibition game.

Seventeen minutes into the game Elber de Sousa chested a ball down to Giovanni Cornacchini who put the ball past NSL Selects goalkeeper Anthony Camacho (London City).

London City’s Simon Mayo had the best chance for the Selects in the first half when his shot was deflected by AC Milan goalkeeper Sebastian Rossi.
