Bio:

Len played football at Shirley Warren School.

Signed for Southampton in October 1945. Made his first team debut on October 23, 1948 against Leicester City.

In February 1958 he received an offer to play for the Polish White Eagles and to work in a Toronto aircraft factory. Southampton gave him permission to leave in April 1958.

Len played at right-back and captained Southampton in his last Football League game against Watford on April 5, 1958. Southampton won 5-0.

In all Len played in 260 Football League games and scored two goals.

On Tuesday April 8, 1958 Len flew to Toronto together with his wife Jean. He helped Polish White Eagles to a fourth-place finish in the final standings of the 1958 National Soccer League season.

On Sunday June 8, 1958 he guested for Ulster United in their exhibition game against Manchester City in Detroit.

Len started the 1959 season with Polish White Eagles. On May 12, 1959 he signed for Greater Los Angeles Soccer League club San Pedro McIlwaine Canvasbaks.
