Bio:

Signed for Scottish League club Airdrie from Broxburn Athletic in June 1953.

Offered a month’s trial with Norwich City in December 1954.

Joined Southern League club Barry Town in August 1955.

Sold to Football League club Portsmouth in December 1955 for a fee of £2,000.

Signed professional forms with Queen’s Park Rangers on 4 June 1956. Played in 16 Football League games and scored 7 goals.

In July 1959 Tommy decided to emigrate to Canada. He had signed a contract with National Soccer League club Hamilton Cougars. The terms were £3 per game, plus £7 for a win and £5 for a draw. The club had also fixed him a job in the local steel works.

Started the 1960 season with NSL club Hamilton Italo-Canadians, transferred to Toronto-club Ulster United in June 1960.

In 1961 Tommy played for Ulster United in the National Soccer League. Transferred to Toronto Hungaria in August 1961.

Captain of Toronto & District Soccer League club 7000 Soccer Club in the 1962 season.

Returned to Scotland and became the coach of Broxburn Athletic. Also worked as the Scottish scout for Football League club Port Vale.
