Bio:
In the 1970 season Nelson helped Hamilton Italo-Canadians win the Ontario Cup, Inter-City Soccer League championship and the Spectator Cup.
From the 1972 season he played as a semi-professional in the National Soccer League with the Hamilton Italo-Canadians.
He joined Windsor Stars in April 1976. Nelson helped Windsor Stars to a fifth-place finish in the final standings in the NSL First Division in the 1976 season.
Played for Vasco da Gama in the Ontario Intercity Soccer League in the 1977 season.
