Bio:
Joao was said to have started his career with Santos in his native Brazil.
Joined Toronto Inter-Roma in April 1964 after playing in Italy.
Played for the Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League All-Stars against Scottish touring club Heart of Midlothian in an exhibition game on June 5, 1964. In front of a crowd of 6,032 Hearts won 2-0 at Varsity Stadium.
Selected by the managers in the Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League to the second team of the ECPSL All-Star team as a left-half after the 1964 season.
