Raul started his professional soccer career with Banfield in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Then played in Venezuela.
He joined Spanish club Real Betis in March 1957. He then joined Tenerife.
Signed for International Soccer League club New York Americans on April 6, 1961. It was announced that he would join the club in May 1961. Seoane could play at either wing forward or center forward.
On Tuesday May 30 1961 Raul scored in the final two minutes to give the Americans a 1-0 win over Turkish side Besiktas.
In July 1966 Raul joined Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League club Montreal Inter. Montreal was not new to Raul as he had played for the New York Americans in Montreal in the International Soccer League in the 1961 season. He played for the Americans at Molson Stadium against Kilmarnock.
Raul made his debut against Toronto Italia on July 24, 1966 and scored the winning goal in the 1-0 win.
He later became a coach.
