Bio:

Bobby grew up close to Shankill Road in Belfast. Started his career with Brantwood. He joined Glenavon in the Irish League in 1953.

In the summer of 1960 he played for Glenavon in the International Soccer League in North America.

Played for Glenavon against Leicester City in the European Cup Winners Cup in the 1961-1962 season. Released by Glenavon on May 3, 1962.

Later in May 1962 he signed for Distillery.

Played in the National Soccer League with Toronto Ukraina.

Won the Canadian Challenge Trophy and the Ontario Cup with Ballymena United in 1967. Ballymena United folded after the 1967 season.

In 1968 he joined Toronto Royals and won the Canadian Challenge Trophy and the Ontario Cup with that club.

Robert passed away on February 2, 2011 at Scarborough General Hospital in his 78th year.
