Bio:
First made his mark in soccer at Chapelside Public School in Airdrie, Scotland. His football team won the Airdrie School’s Cup in 1952 and 1954.
Then played for Airdrie Academy and Whifflet Amateurs. Said to be attracting interest from Hearts, but signed for Scottish League club Airdrie in August 1957.
Joined Scottish League club Third Lanark in August 1958.
In 1960, at the age of 19, Ralph moved from Scotland to Canada. Settled in Peterborough, Ontario. Quickly made his mark in local soccer.
Represented the Ontario Provincial team in the 1966 Canadian Soccer Championship.
In 1967 he played for the Canadian team that finished fourth at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg.
Played as an amateur for Toronto Emerald in the Toronto & District Soccer League.
Ralph made his debut for Canada’s National Team on 6 October 1968 against Bermuda.
Signed for American Soccer League club Rochester Lancers in April 1969.
Also played for Toronto Italia in the National Soccer League in the 1969 season.
Said to have played for Spanish club Lloret De Mar.
Ralph returned from Canada to Scotland in 2002 and settled in Edinburgh.
