Bio:

Ardo grew up in Hamilton, Ontario. He starred for the Mohawk Mountaineers in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association’s Western Conference in the 1970 season.

Also starred for Hamilton Italo-Canadians. Won the Ontario Cup in the 1970 season.

Signed for North American Soccer League club Toronto Metros to a three-game trial on 29 July 1971.

In 1972 Hamilton Italo-Canadians joined the National Soccer League.

In March 1975 Ardo joined North American Soccer League club Rochester Lancers. Commuted by car from Hamilton, Ontario, to attend training and play games for the Lancers.

Returned to Hamilton Italo-Canadians for the 1976 National Soccer League season.

Had a try-out with Major Indoor Soccer League club New York Arrows in October 1979.

Signed for MISL club Buffalo Stallions in November 1979. Released by the Stallions in December 1979.

In February 1980 he rejoined NASL club Rochester Lancers. Placed on waivers by the Lancers on 1 May 1980.

Played for Vasco Da Gama in the Inter-City League in the summer of 1980.

He then joined Major Indoor Soccer League club Philadelphia Fever in October 1980. Had 42 saves in Philadelphia Fever’s game against Denver Avalanche on 16 January 1981.Released by Philadelphia Fever on 21 January 1982.

In October 1982 he joined Major Indoor Soccer League club Buffalo Stallions.

Joined Canadian Professional Soccer League club Hamilton Steelers in April 1983.

Ardo was inducted into the Hamilton Soccer Hall of Fame in 2013.
