Started his senior career with Bolton Wanderers as an amateur.
Joined Preston North End in October 1960.
Joined Hull City in September 1961. Released by Hull City in April 1964.
Signed a contract with Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League club Hamilton Steelers in April 1964.
Flew to Canada on 30 April 1964 with intention to stay there, but could not settle down.
Joined Goole Town in August 1964.
Joined Midland League club Ashby Institute on a free transfer Goole Town in October 1968.
