Joined American Soccer League club Syracuse Scorpions in March 1969.
Voted as the Most Valuable Player in the 1969 American Soccer League season.
Signed by North American Soccer League club Rochester Lancers on 7 May 1970.
In March 1971 Jim was sold from Rochester Lancers to expansion team Toronto Metros. The deal, that also included Lancers’ goalkeeper Dick Howard, cost Metros $7,500.
Metros opened their 1971 North American Soccer League season by tying Dallas Tornado 2-2 in their first game of the season. Jim started the game and had an assist on on the tying goal.
Traded from Toronto Metros to Toronto Hellas in a straight swap for Panos Polyviou in July 1971.
Played for Hakoah in the Toronto & District Soccer League in the 1973 season.
