CLUBS: BRADFORD MARSHLANDERS

The Bradford Marshlanders Soccer Club was granted a National Soccer League franchise in 1976. They started playing in the League in the 1977 season. The directors of the Club in 1977 were Joe Dagrosa, Tony Cicciarella, Tony Cericola, Tony Greco and Albert Ingoglia.

In their first season they were coached by Derek Nash and John Crowley. They finished last in the ten team second division.

In the 1978 season the Marshlanders finished last in the seven team second division.

Before the 1979 season the Marshlanders strenghtened their team by signing Tommy Henderson and Jorge Planas. The team was coached by Dave Reid. The League dropped its two-division format. The Marshlanders finished second from bottom in the 14 team league.

In the 1980 season the Marshlanders improved in the league standings by finishing as number seven out of twelve teams. On September 10, 1980, the Marshlanders were humiliated by losing 10-0 to Toronto Italia.

The 1981 season finished with Marshlanders as number ten out eleven teams.
