Bio:
Jimmy started his career in Fife junior football. During his National Service days he played for English non-league club South Shields.
Joined Scottish League club Brechin City in April 1955. Played Brechin City against Ayr United at Glebe Park on 13 April 1955 in a Scottish League game.
Had a short trial spell with Dunfermline Athletic. Given a free transfer in May 1955.
Moved to Scottish junior club Dundonald Bluebell in July 1955.
Before the start of the 1960 National Soccer League season Jim joined Toronto club Ulster United.
Joined the exodus from NSL in the early 1960’s to California, and joined Greater Los Angeles Soccer League club Hollywood in March 1961.
Then played for the Jadran Soccer Club in the Greater Los Angeles Soccer League.
