Bio:
Alfie started his career as a junior with Home Farm. Won the 1955 FAI Junior Cup with Home Farm.
Joined League of Ireland club Bohemians in August 1957. Given his release by Bohemians after the 1957-58 season.
Joined Drumcondra in July 1958.
In 1960 Alfie joined National Soccer League club Toronto Ukraina. Helped Ukraina finish in 7th place in the 1960 NSL final standings.
Then returned to Drumcondra.Given a benefit match by Drumcondra in April 1964.
Joined Dundalk in April 1964. Released by Dundalk in May 1965.
Player coach of Drogheda in the 1966-1967 season.
Represented the League of Ireland at left-back.
