Bio:
Born in Italy. Started his soccer career with Associazione Calcio San Donà. Joined Montreal Italia in 1951.
Won the McLagan Trophy as Montreal’s most valuable player in 1954.
Regarded as one of the best fullbacks in Canada in the 1950’s.
Transferred from Cantalia to Montreal Ukraina on Monday June 15, 1959. Made his NSL debut for Ukraina against Montreal Hungaria on June 17, 1959.
Retired from top-level soccer after the 1960 NSL season.
In 1978 Alessandro opened a cafe at 5562 Upper Lachine Rd, they were renowned for their subs.
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2006.
His son Sergio played in the National Hockey League for Montreal Canadians and many other clubs.
