In the summer of 1951 Allmänna Idrottsklubben (A.I.K.) from Stockholm were on a 17-game tour of North America. During the tour they played two games in Canada, one against Montreal All Stars and one against Hamilton & District All Stars. The club had won the Swedish Cup in the 1950 season.

On Friday night June 29, 1951, a crowd of 1,257 turned up at Westmount Athletic Grounds to watch the exhibition match.

The score at half-time was 1-0 and finished in a 5-0 win to the Swedish visitors.
