On Sunday August 21, 1927 a picked team of players from the clubs that were members of the Niagara Frontier Soccer League took on the famous Toronto Scottish club.

In front of what was reported as a “good crowd” the two teams met at Bemo Field in Buffalo, New York.

30 minutes into the first half Scottish’ centre forward Harry Burness scored to secure a win for the visiting team.

The referee was A. Chalmers

Linesmen were F . Dobson and G. Cumming
