Hector Cribioli was born on August 11, 1936 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The inside forward joined Toronto Italia in 1960. He helped Italia win the 1960 National Soccer League championship and playoff championship.
He spent the winter of 1960-1961 playing for New York Inter in the American Soccer League.
Hector starred for Toronto Roma in the 1961 National Soccer League season. On Tuesday night May 30 Roma Hector scored the only goal as Roma defeated Polish White Eagles 1-0 in Toronto. In July 1961 Hector was sold from Toronto Roma to French League club Limoges for $25,000. It was said to be the highest transfer fee paid for a transfer from a Canadian club.
In October 1961 he joined R.F.C. Liege in Belgium. However, he returned to Canada and starred for Toronto Italia in the Eastern Canada Professional Soccer League in the 1962 season.
From 1963 to 1966 Hector played for R.F.C. Liege in Belgium. In the 1963-64 season he scored two goals in thirteen league games. The following season he played in 23 league games. He then played in eleven league games during the 1965-66 season.
In 1964 he played against Real Zaragoza in the semifinals of the 1963-64 European Fairs Cup. Zaragoza would go on to win the Fairs Cup.
